Come Here to Download All Necessary Program

  • You are now ready to download the complete Phy353 program directories. Phy353.exe is a self-extracting zipped file. You do not need an unzipping program.
  • Double click on Phy353.exe button and from the File Load Panel save to some temproary subdirectory like C:\MyDownload\Phy353-03. You can now select “Open” from the screen panel, or double-click on the Phy353-03.exe file.
  • On the next panel, you can click “Filelist” to see the directory structure and if you are satisfied, you can click “extract” to complete the transfer. Choose C:\ and the directory structure will then be automatically copied to C:\Phy353.
  • You could choose any other directory on disk.  For convenience sake, you do not want to save to some sub-sub-directory.  You would have to reset all the required paths.
  • To take a look at the directory structure, you have to go to the DOS (disk operating system) mode..
  • Now “> cd c:\phy353”. A “> dir” command should reproduce the above directory structure.
  • You should now run “> setpath” to set all necessary paths to be used by the program.
  • Use the “>path” command to see that c:\phy353\exe; c:\phy353\maclib;c:\phy353\bat” are all included in the path statement.
  • You are now ready to look at your first assembly language program.
  • You may want to run “>doskey” to remember key strokes.
